Message Not at all true. When running E85 most cars (including the Z32) will not knock before, or even after, MBT. If you go past MBT you are not only losing power but will bend rods and pound out bearings so fast it makes detonation look mild. A dyno is a necessity to measure the point of MBT when tuning. All cars, even with the same engine, will likely take varying amounts of ignition timing to get there.


Also, if you believe Haltech is lacking then look at the very high end units available such as Syvecs, Motec etc. The best control units in the world still require professional tuning to be maximized. No matter how good technology gets tuners will never become obsolete.
