Seems to me like 2 things in their design that I can see right away. Their 46.23 mm inlet seems pretty close to a T25, 76 trim Turbine Exducer of 46.2mm part #435922-0004. maybe the turbo they had at the time had that wheel. so they built around it? why not update? who knows. kinda weak if you ask me. Now the outlet being smaller? I see this.... if it is 3" outside diameter at that point then they used thicker tubing, that I.D. size is common with a 12 gauge tubing size. AMS--- 70.65mm = 2.781" 3.00" - 2.7814" = .2185" .2185/2 = .109" .109" = 12 gauge SZ---- 74.12mm = 2.918" 3.00" - 2.918" = .082" .082/2 = .041" .041" = 19 gauge? maybe ported 16 gauge? Standard 3" exhaust tubing--- 72.89mm = 2.870" 3.00" - 2.870" = .130" .130"/2 = .065" .065" = 16 gauge So, maybe SZ tubing is 16 gauge and ported at flange end making it larger at the end but inside being 72.89mm true difference? 72.89mm - 70.65mm = 2.24mm or 1.12mm per side wall.
