If it got fished out of the bottom of Lake Houston last summer after the hurricane, then absolutely not.....that is one obvious end of the spectrum of possibilities here. If it was simply a ragged-out, high-mileage, neglected NA that "blue-booked" at $2k and got backed into in the grocery store parking lot by a soccer mom texting while reversing, then sure fix it up. BUT
depending on what needs to be done to get the car "up to snuff", the bill for parts alone (and labor if you cant do it all yourself" may easily exceed whatever price you could ever get from the most devoted LP2-lover willing to overlook the title history. Even if you were just going to get it back to just being roadworthy and reliable, not a full restoration effort, in order to minimize your expenses, the margin you may get for your effort probably wont be worth the effort. Bottom line: This is a project for the actual person who really wants an original LP2 specimen, if that isn't you, then IMHO you are inviting more headache than it is worth.
