Manual has a separate button for AC.....which is also nice, I decide when the compressor runs. I think you misunderstand, its not pressing one button once, its pressing several buttons multiple times whenever I get in and the temperatures are at extremes, and then having to change it later. In fact, I'm almost tempted to go make a video showing what typical use is like for me, so you can see what I mean.
