Message on newer cars

From what I understood, the main reason it was done on our 90-93 cars was because it was a hydraulic system, which by nature introduces specific issues that the electrical system on 94-96's do not experience....or because someone wanted to go drifting.

I never once had any issues on tracks with HICAS, Spa Francorchamp, Nordschleife, Hallett, MotorSports Ranch, and a local LEO training circuit in OKC....much less on the street. It is during emergency lane change type maneuvers where the system is absolutely worth having, provided it is functioning properly and in good maintnenance (no slop/play in the parts)

I was not trying to drift the car, so the HICAS never interfered with what I was trying to make the car do.

Based on how the system works on our car, it would only be counter-productive under certain very narrow set of circumstances, such as drifting, and the rest of the time it is a substantial benefit when it is activated.

If the new system is designed to function the same way, then there really should be no reason to eliminate it unless you want the car to do things that the system will work to prevent it from doing...such as drifting.

Did I mention if you aren't trying to drift your new car then it should not be an issue?
