Message	Mobil 1 used to be a Group IV (PAO) oil. Today it's actually a 'hydro-cracked/modified' Group III. They get away with calling it 'Full Synthetic' but it's actually not. 'REAL' synthetic oils now say 100% Synthetic, and the rest just say Full Synthetic if their Group III based and modified. There are some full PAO Group IV oils (definitely the 100% Synthetic Amsoils, and I think Enos and Redline), but most out there today that say Full Synthetic are really Group III base stocks then modified. Now with that being said, today's 'Full Synthetic' oils are really, really good. But the 'synthetic' line of marketing is made to confuse for well um, marketing purposes and the hype that goes along with that. Vinnie
