How are the pistons supposed to be "oriented"?

Why would they be "oriented" differently on a cadillac than on a Z, or any other performance car?

What is wrong with adaptor brackets? Is the point not to simply hold the caliper in place? Can adaptor brackets not do that?

You need to do a lot more self-education on brakes before you end up spending money and time on something that may not be an "upgrade" at all. This topic has been covered ad nauseum, you wont have any trouble finding relevant info....only difference is that prices have fallen quite a lot in recent years for known quality BBK's that function properly on the Z32.
