| Time to give Red Zed some love: Pulled it out of the garage from where I parked it after our drag night in June... put it away wet: .jpg)
Hard to see from the pic, but the paint is pretty badly swirled and oxidized. Haven't been cleaning & waxing like the other Zeds. Time to fix that. Again hard to see, but there is pretty bad swirl and hazy oxidation: .jpg)
Paint just looks dull and feels rough when you brush your hand along it: .jpg)
Paint polish time... start with 3M PerfectIt #1 cut and switch to #2 to get through the crap on the surface. Using Makita 9237C variable speed polisher & Feracla 6" compounding pads. two passes with cutting compound: .jpg)
Of course, every rock chip is now highlighted, spent about a half hour with the lacquer touch up pen. Finish with #3 polish with polishing foam pad, swirls are mostly gone and the paint feels smooth: .jpg)
Zeds are easy to power polish with all the rounded edges: .jpg)
Think we're aboot there: .jpg)

And how does it look in the sun? .jpg)
Still lots of rock chips and paint damage on the sills... not going to fix it with a polisher. Could do another pass but my arm's given out. Now I gotta go wax...
