I work at Hagerty and we have really opened up our underwriting guidelines to accept these types of cars. We don't require appraisals either. We're def more expensive than Grundy but Grundy is owned by Philadelphia Insurance and so you will be dealing with a regular insurance company when you have a claim. Hagerty is its own company and we train our claims people to restore cars. They understand that if you have to repaint one panel you might have to repaint the whole car in order to get it to match. (ugh i'm disgusted with myself that I've become a cheerleader for my company when I'm not being paid to be)
