cylinder 2? As I understand things, on E85 it's pretty easy to bend several rods. Just turn the timing up too far and you can bend a rod, and the engine can still keep running without too much indication while you bend a few more. Break a rod, and you shut things down pretty quickly. I guess the nut or rod cap could bounce around and jamb the #1 cylinder while the bolt is doing a job on #2. It sure would help to see the threads on the nut.
