In my conversation with Brett Ramey, he mentioned that a vendor had been selling 'RZ' studs that he wasn't supplying to them....there were differences in material and surface treatments of some of the sets that I had purchased or that were supplied by customers for engine builds. I remember a post of one failing and that post going away somehow, 2012-ish? I have no doubt that they are not as strong as the OEM studs in tension due to the large undercut of the threads on the block side. I had one stretch when torqueing the pulley nut to OEM spec, which lead to my conversion with Brett.
