Message Cars race in the rain you know, granted they typically have downforce aids, but still, I would never classify tires that hydroplane on NORMAL wet surfaces at barely 60mph as "good" wet performance.

Hydroplaning is practically russian roulette, if you cant see it coming and straighten the car and wheel out beforehand you better hope you do so incidentally or have plenty of space around you. All it takes is one imperfection in the pavement grade to upset the car balance and off you go. Been there, done that.
