The main reason for this post is to show how important a proper hood latch is...or to at least make sure your OEM latch is operating properly. I was behind my friends GTR (at relatively spirited driving speeds) when his hood pins failed. They were locked, but it just goes to show you what can happen when they fail and you don't have a backup. The pins broke, and the hinges ripped right out of the body. Luckily for him, me, and the guys behind me, the hood flew 100ft in the air and the wind took it 20 yards out of harms way. He's also extremely fortunate to not have any sort of windshield or roof damage.
Only took 2 miles to catch some attention..
I'll stick to my OEM hood
