Headed out early Thursday morning. Another Z decided to tag along.
Almost there..
Arrived in Edmonton Thursday afternoon, and met up with the boys, who have been tuning since Tuesday!
Kicked back and had some Wendys while Gurdeep had his exhaust made
Friday was my turn on the dyno. Came for a flex fuel tune
Here's were the fun started... Had zero issues with the haltech conversion when I was at home, but when I got on the dyno Seb told me my IAT sensor wasn't reading properly. So the trouble shooting began.. We confirmed the wiring was good, and that it was a bad IAT sensor. Apparently the 1/4" ones are hard to find, but the GM ones are 3/8 NPT and very accessible, so while Jeff ran to the parts store for a new one, Seb and the guys started to make room for the new sensor. I also installed new NGK 8 heat range plugs before the dyno, but they were breaking up, so we went back to the 7 heat range which solved that issue...Stupid cold plugs.
Jeff enjoying the show!
Vu and Rob also tuning in
and the results.... 579whp 600 ft-lbs @22.5 PSI sport 530s and E85
Kent's and Mahesh's beautiful Z's also made the trip. Mahesh had his other Z tuned that made good power and Kents Z also made good numbers!
Rob and the Edmonton Z crew organized a wicked drag day at their local strip for us to have a go at. We had the whole strip to ourselves!
My best run of the night, not bad for craigslist street tires!
Headed home Sunday morning
Home sweet home
Many bugs were destroyed during the duration of this adventure.
Not a single issue with the Z, it performed flawlessly throughout the entire weekend. Big shout out to Rob,Mahesh,Jeff, and the Edmonton crew for putting on another awesome dyno week. Got to see some old faces and meet some new ones. Also a big thanks to Gurdeep for letting me crash at his place all weekend! Oh, and thanks Greg and Seb for coming up to great white north again, you guys rock! Until next time..
