|the 05's have intake valve problems at 90k or something.
Go to saabcentral.com to read horror stories and advice if you do get one. It was worse than reading the tech section of hear, not kidding.
I am not sure when this problem was resolved.
Mine was a 03 linear. (small t)(auto)
I replaced the:
-coils (oem saab cant run gm)
-water pump thermostat
-ecu (they get cooked sitting on engine)
-tuned ecu for more boost from mps tuning
-deleted secondary air injection valve pump thing because that shit always breaks with tune
-crank position sensor -it would shut off while driving
-many engine seals all leaked, ps leaked just replace seal with viton one not pump
When it worked, the car was actually fun and quick. I enjoyed it.
It always would have random electrical gremlins like telling me stability control failed, etc.. then it would work again. It had 140k miles.
Also the door locks would work intermittently, replacing actuators sometimes helped.
When it boosted it was fun, 2nd to 3rd gear it would 'fall out of gear' it wasnt a trans problem just a software problem that apparently a tune could fix.
First person that randomly wanted to buy it I sold it to.
I was tired of working on the piece of shit.
