If you've truly only done a few track days, you're nowhere near perfect lines and technique. Entry/apex/exit will be different between your 5th and 25th track day. Understeer? Yes, definitely setup that way from factory (safer), but as you progress in smoothness you can figure out how to minimize that; ie. wider, better tires will help turn in on our heavy lady. At the beginning, I thought I was at the car's full potential around the track because my tires were squealing through every corner, then I let a pro drive the car.... More seat time will drop the times before you realize it, then start really worrying about upgrades and times against modern cars. The fact that they were "quiet" and faster likely means they weren't near the limit of their modern suspension, but not all tires talk the same. Smooth is conveniently faster AND more importantly, safer
