No easy or inexpensive solution unless you can score a local tranny from someone you trust and install it. options: local tranny $500 rebuild your tranny $$1000 local tranny and rebuild $$1300 98+ spec $$2000 JWT swap $$$ ??? TH400 swap $$$4000 I replaced mine with a new 98+ spec and HI-5 clutch and it still slipped but was able to break my axle. I just eliminated this headache and went with BDE TH400 swap with PTC TH400 and stall torque converter. (I plan to design a 700r4 conversion this fall or next fall if I decide to stay with this auto setup) As you know anything done to our Z's = $$$ Good luck!
