I bought a set of the original Megan downpipes/testpipes off of ebay in 2006, when they were first on the market. After 8 years, I started hearing a small exhaust leak, and eventually tracked it to the downpipes. The welds cracked right at the turbo exhaust flange. So, $120 for 8 years of use. *shrug* Not too bad, and they did spool noticeably better than the stock downpipes/pre-cats. Did I buy them again? Nope. I have Specialty Z super-splits now. And to answer your next question - yes, the supersplits spool even quicker. This was indirectly measured by my boost controller. I had to dial back the gain immediately after the downpipe change (and that was the only thing I changed) because I started getting a small boost spike. Cheers,
