This weekend was a lot of fun. Finally got to see what the z was capable of. John and I did our best to go as fast as possible, but sadly, both cars ultimately ended thier day by catastrophic clutch failure. John on his first pass melted a specialty z hi-5 attached to a lighter flywheel and I a DXD 6 puck on an oem flywheel. Johns car makes over 700 and mine higher 6's. However, also learned my 2 step/anti lag needs adjusting as the car would bog very hard out of the hole while trying to feather the clutch. Seemed as if the car would re-activate and timing would decrease and car would fall flat. Once it moved, it moved very fast. My highest trap speed of the day was 130.9mph good for a 10 second pass if it would have launched correctly. My best time of the day was an 11.7@127.3. On Friday, the mission began to get ready. At the time my car had plenty of 93 oct in the tank and needed to come out. I also needed to change my front brakes to make sure car was capable of stopping correctly and needed to mount my new Hoosier drag radials and do an oil change.
Once all that was handled, it was time to head to my friends shop to load up. Had to stop to fill up first. E85 was put in the tank and she was as ready as she could be.
It was time to head out and hit the track. We met with John at the track. T
Then it was time to race. John was up first. Sadly, didn't make it far as on his first pass the clutch gave and that was all she wrote for the day.
Then I was up next.

Then it was time to load up and head home to get ready for another day...
My buddies Audi went pass after pass. Makes 700whp and ran 11.28@130. The civic makes right at 900whp, but kept having breaking up issues in third gear. All in all was a good day with friends and hanging out and enjoying the day and the track helping one another.
