Message We've come a long way from carburetors to think they used to tune based off of audible knock, plug checks, and 1/4 mile times. Ethanol is race gas that's cheaper than regular gas......I mean, do you realize you can buy fuel that performs the same (or better depending on your setup) than 116 octane race fuel for only double the cost of water??

The ends justify the means IMO, if an engine is tuned to it's knock limit then backed off slightly for safety (or in my case while at Harry's shop we stopped even before the knock limit was reached because I was satisfied with the numbers and my injectors were at 90% duty cycle to achieve a 12:1 or less AFR) then does it truly matter if one cylinder is flowing more air or fuel than another?..... yes if I was competitively racing I would want every last horsepower so I would try to find the max brake torque for each individual cylinder but in this case the engine is pretty safe. It's an interesting time to be alive.
