One of my customers has a friend who works in the oil & gas industry. He has all the fancy gadgets and suitcases of tools to test things. He basically stated that if fuel sits for any more than about a month, then the overall ethanol content drops significantly. It also depends on where it's stored. If outside or cold climate, then condensation will form and speed up the process of degradation, where as in a climate controlled garage, you slow the process down. That being said, I have a brand new bottle of Stabil but didn't get a chance to throw some in the tank and fill it up so I'll just have to do like I've always done prior to using it, fill up the tank during the first spring drive and drive her easy
