It was on my car when I bought it. The car had some drivetrain issues. Turns out the DS was shoe horned in. After a tranny pull... loads of time under the car... and much thought and discussion with Coz (retailer) and Empire (manufacturer) I sent it back to Empire for inspection. Shipped at my own expense ($90). Received a call saying they'd clean it up / shorten it a bit at no expense and ship it back for free. When I got a return call from the tech saying it was ready I asked a few questions. Tech said Yup... that was an old batch unit when we briefly switched yolk suppliers. The yolks were all too long, we've replaced a bunch. FAR FRIGGIN' cry from what the sales Mgr was telling me on the phone, which was he was doing me a favor by cleaning it up machining a bit off the yolk and balancing it "free of charge" with no explanation as to why my specific vehicle had fitment issues. AND it took several calls to get him to commit to that. We'll that's my rant. No issues since but they should have posted a service bulletin or at least fessed up when I spoke to them multiple times before they finally said they'd inspect it free of charge. MRSP is well over $1000 if I recall correctly. I followed up with COZ too. Told him it was BS and he should follow up with anyone that purchased a similar unit off him. Driveability was far better once the proper length DS was in there.
