| Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm a bit biased since he's my son. But even with the well-written post, it doesn't do justice of the trip itself. We ended up retracing part of the route my dad and I took in 2007 when he helped me with moving back to CA from MA. (I repeated that same trip a few months later with my wife and sons with another truckload of belongings). So I guess it's become a bit of a family tradition to traverse the US on I-40 every few years. All in all, the weather was perfect and the only construction delays were literally about an hour from home. Also, as Curt mentioned, my dad bought trackstar's TT (he actually bought it from TT.net member Urb who had purchased it from trackstar). The backstory on my dad's car is that I used to work on it for trackstar when we lived in MA, so I knew the history on that car. All of this is to say that we have three generations of Z32 owners in the family. I need to hurry up and get my car back on the road so we can do a three-gen roadtrip before my dad decides he's too old to enjoy the car any more. At 81, he's enjoying both of his Z's (Z32 and Z34) and doesn't show any signs of slowing down. But he has mentioned that he'd probably look to sell his Z32 as he just doesn't drive it enough anymore. I hope with Curt's Z acquisition this will help delay his decision for a while. Once again, welcome Curt and don't be a stranger to this site. You'll find a lot of useful info and great people here.
