When I first got my convertible, I was thinking I could find an old convertible top from a wreck and use it to design a fixed frame. Then create a fiberglass top on this frame. It would interface with the factory convertible connection points and essentially function just like an Mercedes SL hardtop would. Then I realized 1. Spare convertible top parts are like hens teeth 2. It would be a crap ton of work and $ 3. It would be heavy 6. The soft top functions just fine
