1. Job market is ok, depends what your field is in, but BC is known to have lower average wages when compared to the other provinces. 2. Lots to do for entertainment, it's really a matter of what you enjoy doing. You'd be hard to find yourself bored in the city. Even if its just a drive up to Whistler with some guys, its a good time! The city's housing market right now is fucked(its the only way to describe it). a POS 25 year old 1000sq foot detached home in the city of Vancouver will run you 7 figures. I'm about 40 minutes from Vancouver, where housing is "more affordable" if you want to call it that. The Z scene is small. I keep in touch with about 5-6 locals. There used to be a site but it got taken down a few years ago. My favorite part is that you're in the mountains and on the Ocean. Lots of awesome scenery to take in.
