If you are tracking the car, I'd say run a 255 square, so you can rotate the tires for better tire life. R-comps like BFG-R1 and Toyo RR and Hoosiers run much wider. A 255 in a Toyo RR fits like a 275 street tire. This should be plenty of tire for the Z on track. For good turn in characteristics on track, an aggressive alignment will work best- more than factory negative camber front and rear will be mandatory. Slight toe out in the front is supposed to help turn in if the car is understeering. Toe out will sacrifice tire life and top end speed(marginally), but was worth it on my track car, in my opinion. The seat time for learning the car is so valuable at this point, that I want to urge you to not over analyze this and just get out and track the car! And please report back how it went! I love seeing Z32s on track!
