Message	they do not carry any load when the bolt holding the drive sprocket is properly preloaded. Even if the pin were undersized, the friction created between the cam/JWT adapter/sprocket flat surfaces is what carries 100% of the load in a fastened joint such as this. IMO the only way a joint fails like this is if the bolt lost its preload by either coming loose or deformation from over-loading its tensile properties.
