What that video shows is an attack based soley on rage, ego, selfishness, carelessness, etc. all of which represent some level of character flaw. The driver of the truck was never pushed into a corner where he had to make a decision on the best course of action(fight or flight) to protect his life or those he cared for. What he did (and unfortunately many others are doing) was unnecessarily escalate the situation to a level of violence that could have resulted in the senseless death of another human being. To say it's not societal is absurd, it has become so common we've even given it its' own cute little special designation of "Road Rage".
