Ever heard anything negative about them paying out? The nuance of driving for pleasure and driving to pick up milk is very subtle and although I got Grundy as of a few days ago I'm concerned about my exposure given I take the car out a lot when it's working. I imagine they don't look into the reason something happened to your car until something really does, and then if they believe there's foul play it becomes a lawyers game and the stakes for the car owner go up significantly potentially undermining the whole benefit of this insurance.
Staying with conventional insurance seems like a dead end and with our cars the current blue book value after depreciation doesn't come even close to the value we've put in. Along with the high premiums this makes conventional insurance a really bad deal for our cars.
