| I took the convertible that I recently got for a little ride to day. After sitting for so long untouched I was pleasantly surprised at how well it runs. I must say it was like me to take the Z on a fairly long trip the first time out. So my buddy had been saying that he wanted to see the find so I hoped in and road out. This was not really the road that you do the first time out in a Z that has been sitting for so long but I was like what hell. Told the wife I was leave to take the car out for the first drive and she was like you going for a while and shook her head (meaning I know you are about to do something crazy). First drive after sitting for ever was a fairly straight shoot a little over one hour each way. The first 15 minutes were the most nerve wrenching simply because the check engine light was on and the old gas was not all the way out. First stop gas station please, then follow by parts store to replace fuel filter, air filter, gas treatment, and octant boost. After that she began to settle down and ran like a Z should. I did notice that it could use new tie rods and maybe a new power steering pump or at least a flush. All in all I could not have been any happier. I made it both was and on the way back I opened her up a little bit and just like a Z she wanted more. I got it up and going to notice I was past cars at a pretty good rate on the interstate. Got off the interstate and took the back roads for about 10 mile. Followed by about another 10 mile in city traffic before turning end. Another good first day. After a lovely sunny Florida day it was time to turn in. Looks like tomorrow might be nice enough to take the girls out to the beach with the top down!
