They are trying to teach students to not upset the car and quick movements are generally the root cause. If you're not wheel to wheel pro, there's no reason to think about working on that level of control (like Randy's at least). There are other parts of your technique where you can gain way more time per lap... better braking, better line, better car setup, trail braking, etc. all lower hanging fruit and not 10/10ths. I do agree, the instructors should be practicing what they preach when there is a student in the car or you get mixed messages.
