Message just avoid accelerating hard or slipping the clutch, the tranny and clutch combo is very similar if not exactly the same as the Nissan Hardbody, the only reason a lower tow rating is assigned to the Z is because of the IRS and short wheelbase.

Tongue weight and gross weight of the trailer greatly influences handling at highway speeds, your real concern is not the drive-line. The car will shimmy and become unstable if you overload the tongue (or underload i.e. the tongue is lifting the rear of the car) or if the trailer is too heavy. The ratings they assign to vehicles have a generous safety margin, that being said.... keep your speeds low, posted limit is a good rule of thumb (to include the yellow signs), ESPECIALLY if it's windy or wet, last thing you want is the trailer jack-knifing on you at 70mph. If you start to feel a sway let off the throttle immediately......good luck!
