The reality is driving a RHD car in a LHD country is a royal pain in the ass for 99% of people No need to get defensive over it, his point is pretty valid, most RHD market cars you see that get shipped to LHD countries ARE neglected, ragged, and in borderline poor condition.....from a business standpoint as an importer why would you pay for a pristine cherry when the process costs whatever it s going to cost no matter what the condition of the car, and the car is only going to fetch so much in a VERY niche market primarily comprised of buyers who are going to, if not want to, work on the car or get work done to the car? The only "cherries" that get imported are pre-bought and the importer has cash-in-hand. The same thing applies to US market premium new cars being bought new off the lot and exported to China/Russia. The exporters don't waste money on any options or extra cost paint or accessories, they get nearly un-optioned cars to maximize their profit in arbitrage, unless specified otherwise for a specific buyer who has already committed cash.
It awesome to see a cool project like yours underway and the attention to detail you put in it, but pretending like everyone and anyone should follow your lead because buying RHD cars for a LHD country is every bit as happy-go-lucky as sticking with domestic market cars is ridiculous.
