The rearview mirror in my Z has seen better days. The plastic is deteriorating, oxidized around the glass, and generally not in great shape. I posted an ad in the classifieds for a used one and found them all to generally be in the same shape as the one I currently have. One option is to buy an OEM one and paint it black. As I understand it, only a generic one is still available from Nissan that needs painted to match your interior color. I could paint it myself, but I've never had great success with painted plastics. Another option is installing one out of a 350Z and gluing it to the windshield, but I'd rather keep the OEM mounting location. Has anyone found another solution or should I just buy the generic one, paint it and forget about it?
