I hit 110-120psi way before red line but is regulated as such because of the TT oil pump's relief valve and possibly even the bypasses opening up. My current clearances are similar to yours for the mains but at least 5 tenths larger on the rods. I agree. From what I have read/been told/understand, higher pressures are not always good. In my case i think that they are excessive (caused by thick oil and lots of oil flow) and want to reduce them. Re-introducing the 60psi relief valve will best take care of both imo.
