Yes, i am using an aftermarket unit to measure and display oil pressure. I am running 20w50 in the summer as it is seems better suited to protect my bearings with the loose clearances that i am purposly running. Read the post above for a more detailed explanation. As measured pre-oil filter, I am reading 30psi at idle, and about 70psi at 3000 rpm with 20w50 conventional at temperature. This is with the 60psi oil cooler feed blocked off. Yes. All the oil galley plugs, restrictors, and valves were removed from the block and crank to clean them properly. Build cleanliness was not the issue. Yup, that's the hose that now comes with the full flow oil cooler kits. I had capped mine but now, I will be re-installing the 60-psi valve as well as that hose, in the picture, which provides a restricted path to the oil pan.
