| There is much more to the Injection/Ignition/VTC circuitry than just the injector/coilpack/solenoid.... those 3 are the easy ones to find ! When you throw in the ecu/CAS/ptu/relays etc and a myriad of associated sensors and wiring, most of which are co-dependant on each other...... THEN it starts to get mind boggling These testers were designed to cut out some of the forest round the trees. For instance : If you have a miss on cyl #4..... you throw the Injection/Ignition testers onto cyl #4 and they will prove/disprove whether it's circuitry related and if so, whether it's Injection or Ignition related. You then know whether to hone in on that particular part of the circuitry, OR move on in your search elsewhere for the problem. As I said before, fault finding is a process of elimination....... the quicker you can eliminate one thing, the quicker you can move on to the next. A speedier process equals a speedier result..... and then you can drive the car rather than work on it
