if I was set on doing a swap, I would choose 2JZ over the RB. Parts readily available over the counter and more resources in the OEM, performance parts and knowledge department in the states. The benefit of staying with the VG is that you can use the money spent to adapting those engines into the car to make more hp/tq with the VG. In other words, better bang for your money. The VG is a very underrated engine, you can have a completely stock engine/turbo car making around 500WHP and 550WTQ on E85.
