All pictures were taken from my phone and I'm no photographer. Please enjoy them as they are. Recently I took some leave to go home and show off my daughter to the family. She was just born in January and most of my family hadn't gotten to meet her yet. Long story short, it took a long three days to drive from Fort Drum NY down to Corpus Christi TX. I started my time off by going to Formula Drift round 4 in New Jersey with a friend in his S2000. Was an awesome time as always. All the way until it started raining and we realized we had left the umbrellas in the car. Despite getting drenched by rain and the run off of other people's umbrellas it was just crazy to watch the driver's car control in those conditions. I managed to snag a few pics from the pits and a few videos as well.
The following morning was the start of the trip home. A long three days in a titan with a baby later we were home. It was good to relax but shortly after arriving I began searching Craigslist to see what deals I could score for my TT. I stumbled on this little gem. A slightly beat up vert for a deal. Front bumper lip was missing probably from previous owner hitting a curb and it had a few other small imperfections. Otherwise a pretty strait body and a smooth running motor. After driving it to the Austin Z Clinic and having it checked out I went ahead and pulled the trigger and bought it. Aside from being stuck in Austin 5 o'clock traffic i couldn't be happier with the car. Made the rest of my time off really enjoyable. Well I couldn't stand the broken bumper so I got in touch with HaloZ who happened to have a black na bumper laying around. Picked it up for a project after getting back. Also swaped out the oem exhaust for an aftermarket one. Not sure of the brand but it sounds pretty nice. Not too loud and nice and deep. Anyway on to the pics.
A week later we loaded up the car and headed back home to Fort Drum.
After another long drive we were home.
First thing first, I replaced the bumper
Car meet pics. There were only two other Z32's out. Mostly classic cars.
These were the other Z32's. The owner of the red Z was really cool to talk to. I didn't manage to run into the owner of "the batmobile".
Then later fixed the rat's nest that was the previous owner's "stereo job"
All in all was a great way to spend my time off
Hope you enjoyed the pics. And thanks to all you vert owners for getting me hooked! Ps: Just realized wheels aren't mounted correctly. Well I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow..
