I definitely wouldn't have been testing it much above 15psi though, which is the max boost you should be running on stock ICs anyway. Sometimes too much lube can be a bad thing. FWIW, for leaks like that, JB weld works very well. We used basically the same thing on Aircraft heat exchangers. I had a similar leak on mine where those fingers weren't clamped down. I squeezed them down but it still leaked a little. When JB weld is warm, it flows very easily. I warmed up the IC with a heat gun (just warm to the touch) and then mixed up JB weld and applied it in small amounts to the leak. Keep the IC warm and let it flow into all the cracks, then build it up. I've got over 40k on my repaired IC with no leaks.
