I was under the impression that if you had internal leaking that it would affect braking "diagonally"....meaning that the system is not split into a front/rear circuit config, but instead is split into a config where each front wheel is on the same circuit as the rear wheel on the opposite side. this way if the seals gave out on either circuit, the car still maintains some front braking capacity rather than a 50/50 chance of losing all front braking. If this is true, then it would seem to me that if internal leaks are happening then the braking would feel really weird. I have this "weird" feeling upon initial bite of hard braking. It only lasts a moment or so, but it is unnerving enough that I am not driving the car until I have the time to deal with it properly.
