Message Saturday I was lucky enough to make the cut to join the fold in an attempt to experience TWS one last time before it is shut down for redevelopment into homes.

I'll disappoint people right away and tell you that I really don't have many photos from track day. I took a few photos of other cars. There was a huge variety of cars. It was my first time taking my car out with Toyo R888, and damn they were great. They were consistent and got to temperatures quickly. They are a little noisy just to DD, but I thought they were actually more comfortable to ride on than me 18" tires.

My suspension setup:

Z1 FUCA
SPL RUCA
SPL T-Rods
Aragosta Coilovers
ST Sway Bars F+R

I'm not an expert driver like Sean or Damon, so I kept boost down to 10psi for my first couple of 24 min sessions (full 24 minutes!). The day went really well: Folks eventually had themselves sorted out by speed/skill by the 3rd session (sort of surprised it took that long). A few slow cars from the group listed below kept lining up near the front, which caused big traffic jams early in our heat.

All that being said, I think I represented the Z32 pretty well. Most people in my group probably saw an early 90s car and wrote it off. On my 3rd session I ran 11.5 psi and think I was faster than every car on the list minus the Camaro SS, 1 of the Boss 302s, the CLS63, and the TSX interestingly was on par. I didn't get a chance to measure myself to all of them really well because we'd get caught up and by the time I passed someone the other cars were already too far ahead. I also think I could have made up a lot of ground exiting some of the corners with more boost, but it was a good day: no major problems or injuries!

And it was definitely fun to pass by every M3, both e46, e92 in an older car. Frankly, if Sean or Damon drove my car they probably would have smoked everything on the track @ 15psi equipped with Rcompound Toyo R888.

I've had these coilovers for a while. I bought them from a member on tt.net. I'm having an issue with front ride height. I've pre-loaded the springs and lowered the cup, but I still need to bring up the front 1/2" IMO.

I did have an issue during my runs with oil sputtering out of the PCV hose I had routed to....well, no where. I wanted to install a catch can but had no room. For some reason I thought I was immune to oil shooting out (never happened before)...yeah yeah, I know... dumb dumb.

My impromptu solution:

Shelby 500

Picked up some BBQ on the way back to Austin
