It would be absurd to say this could never happen in a society where we throw away billions of dollars to bail out automakers with failed business structures and any other entity who gets burned by failing to resist the littany of moral hazards our federal government creates on a steady basis. They have already convinced most of you that once you purchase something with your money that you still do not have ownership over it and cannot share it or use it however you see fit. Do you get to dictate to the company how they can and cant spend your money? For a society that likes to bloviate about how much it cares about "minorities", we sure seem to have no aversion to trampling all over the smallest, most easily discriminated-against minority, the individual.
