The motor had been on a stand for a couple year and I was pretty disappointed when I got it running and checked the compression. A few months though of regular oil changes, a couple seafoam treatments, also ran it for a bit with a quart of ATF in the oil before an oil change. A year or so later and I checked it again and all numbers were within 10psi.
