So, I'm finally prep sanding my bumper and notice a few hairline cracks. 1 near the DS exhaust curve, one near the plate, on the PS diffuser and one on the PS bend where it mounts to the car. Under regular circumstances, these would have looked like small scratches as was found randomly throughout, but as I was wet sanding, I could see the water sitting differently in these area and when any movement or slight pressure is applied, it's obvious it's a crack. SO, my question is... is this acceptable to prep & paint or does this somehow need fixing? My worry is that if it's painted that before I even mount, it will cause the paint to crack. Note that my friend is doing final prep before he sprays since this is what he does for a living.
