fan/blower company to prototype custom fans for a server heatsink application. All of their prototypes were laser sintered (nylon iirc). The blades were press-fit onto the shafts and balanced aftewards, the housings were sintered, and some of the protos were spinning near 10k rpm at full speed iirc. Even when the fans saw temps in the 60-70C+ range they held together.
I've also seen living hinges built into LS parts. If the proper material is selected, you can do a ton with LS.
