Message If you already have a compressor, it's cheap to get started and there are many benefits to soda blasting: non-toxic, easy to clean up (do it outside and let the rain take care of it), doesn't damage the surface of the part being blasted, etc.

It may make more sense to let the machine shop sonic clean (for delicate or aluminum parts) or acid-dip or hot tank (for steel/iron) for the sake of time and convenience though. The machine shop nearest me quoted a very affordable price - $45ish to do a bunch of parts for me.
