Message	Speaker applications. It is rather uncommon to have an enclosure in the front door. Using the door as the enclosure is referred to as a free-air enclosure design. The Bose enclosure is very beneficial... to the driver it was designed for. Stuffing a larger driver, like a 6.5", into that enclosure will not yield better results because you're now suffocating the driver, meaning not enough airspace. Properly deadening the door, using a rigid baffle, and sealing off the front side will get you excellent results. Now, in the rear, to have any proper supporting midbass, you need the 1990 Bose enclosures (or other homemade enclosure), as free-air with no enclosure whatsoever gets you only midrange, and garbage MR at that. Whatever you do, you need the juice. 22WRMS is not enough for any 6.5 to perform well when driven full range. With a supporting sub they won't sound bad, but at that point you've already wired one amp, so why not one for your main channels as well.
