| I did not find a restrictor in the hose I have. Although mine was purchased used it's hard to believe someone would go through the hassle to remove it as usually you destroy the hose in the process. Those I've spoken with in Europe have told me they don't have it. Some say they do but I've also discovered they own a JDM model - which is supposed to have it. I performed a quick search on tt.net and found this as well:
Euro/Nismo Cooler The OP in that link purchased the cooler kit brand new. The Nismo oil cooler kit was actually the Euro spec oil cooler with the correct brackets and hoses. It really isn't a Nismo product but U.S. vendors re-branded it anyway. It appears Bernie had actually performed the same comparison approach as I've done here back then and came to same conclusion I have. It is too bad the FSM doesn't detail the restrictor in the hose. I've looked in both my USDM and European FSM's and neither mention/detail it.
