Subject	Stud welder for dents on Z rockers?

Message	Curious if anyone has used stud welders and a slide hammer or stud pry/ puller to pull dents in the rockers on our cars? Is the metal too thick? On some cars I know rockers are very thick to the point you can't pull it with a stud. I'm tempted to purchase one for some work but don't want to buy something that won't do the job.
